Because an Assassin Elite spec for Thief would be an awful idea for Guild Wars 2. That's why I don't like it. The only reason to do it would be because a subset of players (inexplicably) seem to want it, even though Deadeye is already literally an Assassin. Take the good parts from GW1 and integrate them into GW2 where they fit.
Danikat.8537. There's more than enough points to unlock all the elite specs: Levelling up gets you 398 points, exactly enough to unlock all the base game skills and specialisations. Then there are 1,214 points available from hero challenges. Elite specs cost 250 points each, so 750 for all 3.
Condi Specter is probably best for soloing champs, especially if running ritualist gear + scavenger runes. Can have a huge effective health pool with shroud and can heal itself decently with Consume Shadows and either Skelk Venom or the heal well. Being condi and ranged is great for champs bc you can kite them around.
Yeah, that was what I did I had characters with 250hero points ready before EoD came out. In central, the jungle and the desert there are >750 points available that can be unlocked with older testimonies. Kitten Elite Specs? Are the Charr getting a racial elite spec that let's them become a parent with their kittens fighting for them?
2nd: Create a new character for the elite spec that you want the skins from. 3rd: Level him to 80 with Scrolls and Tomes without spending a single Hero-Point. 4th: Max out only the elite spec with the 300+ Hero Points that you get from levelup Fin.
As others stated above, it's more like 2hrs to create a new character and farm the necessary hero points for an elite spec (including at least 30min to click through all the reward chests for levelling up with lvl60-boosts and Tomes of Knowledge).
